Increase Energy with Pilates
Boost Your Energy with Pilates
Pilates is a great way to increase energy. It's a system that connects the mind and body with precise focus.
Feeling tired or sluggish? There are many Pilates movements that can be energising and shift you out of that mood.
Here are a few tips:
1. Focus on Form. Always start with a warm-up. No point doing Pilates with more reps if you're doing it wrong and your core isn't engaged. Listen to your body and what feels right.
2. Breathe with Purpose. Breathe. In through your nose, out of your mouth. Exhale fully in the hardest part of the exercise. It not only helps release tension, but also supplies oxygen to your muscles.
3. Fire Up with a Few Go-To Moves. My favourites are the Plank, Hundreds, and Saw. These exercises are fantastic for boosting energy and focusing on core strength, breathing, and flexibility.

Celebrating Small Wins
Here is a reminder to focus on βthe realβ. True positive transformation is made up of small wins that consistently rack up and lead to big change over the course of many months and even years. Worrying, negative self-talk and stressing probably has never improved any situation, on or off the mat. However, when I feel balanced and centred everything is manageable. I think it comes down making time to acknowledge and celebrate our small wins, because if you donβt, youβll feel like youβre never making any progress. If we celebrate the journey it makes the destination all the more sweeter.
Release, Rest & Recharge
Focus on the benefit of release
When an emotion is not fully processed, or we are not entirely ready to release some fear or anxiety, it can become stored in the body.
During Pilates and Yoga, our movements become more profound, allowing us to release unnecessary tension and, therefore also, trapped emotions. This release can come in many forms, often crying or the opposite, laughing.
