Barre CLASSES IN BARNET

About

Barre class is a workout technique inspired by elements of Ballet, Pilates, & Yoga. It’s a low-impact yet high-intensity movement, designed to strengthen your body and core in ways that few other workouts can.

INCLUSIVE

Beyond Move was created for people of all ages and genders without limitation. Our members range from 7 years old to 90 and everything in between. Seeing the incredible results our clients have achieved in overcoming injury and chronic pain makes us feel so proud and appreciated.

ALL LEVELS

Fall in love with movements and enjoy the endorphins and the many positive benefits Pilates, Yoga and Barre can offer. To find your level we colour coded our classes here is our guide to find your right level for you.

SMALL CLASSES

Ensures we can offer individual attention, so you’ll gain the most out of the sessions. Our class sizes are capped at 8 participants, with Barre classes limited to 7 and Rehab classes to a maximum of 6. Workshop and event sizes may vary.

DISABILITY FRIENDLY

We are strong on inclusion, and whenever it’s possible we modify exercises and ensuring comfort and safety. Everyone benefits from Pilates as movement is medicine and we understand discomfort/pain can be isolating. Exercising in small groups is a great antidote to help you move as you’d like to.

  • We use a challenging combination of bodyweight resistance, light props, and high repetitions to work out all your minor & major muscle groups.

  • This is a toning class. With high-reps and low-impact movements, barre challenges anyone looking to fine-tune their muscles—no ballet experience required.

FOUNDER

I started the studio because I strongly believe movement and improved posture add to our sense of wellbeing. I’m on a mission to help everyone feel more confident about their movement.

I named the studio Beyond Move because we include everyone regardless of size, age, identity or ability – including people with congenital and acquired injuries.
I personally strive to enable and nurture a strong community. One less interested in how we look in the studio and more in how we can empower ourselves and others.
